Surrounded by grandeur AND wildlife while in an ice-encircled zodiac and feeling overwhelmed with the awe of it all. I’ll always carry that feeling with gratitude.

Tell us about the wildlife
Live up to? Above and beyond! Within that hostile environment some birds and mammals seemed to be posing, although I know it was merely natural behavior. Photos were secondary to the mental images I’ll always have, such as birds eye-balling us as they swooped or drafted the zodiac.
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Loved the zodiac excursions. I’m from a northern Pacific seaport town, accustomed to such water activities. Safety fantastic. (A newbee driver could have used more instruction or experience.) I had a problem with feeling crowded, scrunched and twisted at times. Best cruise: an excursion with Falcon Scott in Onre Inlet as a bit of weather kicked up. He appeared in his element and it was great to be along.

Exceptional! What a team! I appreciated their expertise in different fields. Their presentations were well done, packed with info, interest and humor. Mike stands out as presenter. Nate consistently pulled all together. Every member was approachable, with genuine enthusiasm.
Tell us about the Island Sky
Island Sky exceeded expectations. I would travel on this ship again in a heartbeat! From the Nav Team, to the Marine Deck, each group made the whole trip wonderful with their expertise, diligence, and warm friendly attitudes. Lovely cabin and care. Loved the menus! Kitchen and dining staff met my special dietary needs beyond graciously. Thank you, Chef and Maitre’d !
