There were so many memorable moments but one was the Minke Whale that played between our zodiacs. You could touch it but we didn’t of course. This happened on our first day in Antarctica.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
We felt very safe the expedition team were very responsible as well as being hugely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. These excursions for us, made the trip.
Tell us about the expedition team
There were fantastic, Hannah was an amazing leader and also character. All the expedition team were outstanding. Matthias, Therese were amazing but all were outstanding.
Tell us about the Seaventure
The Seaventure was perfect, the cabin was great. Lots of storage, extremely clean. Only improvement would be better pillows. The food was fantastic. As were the staff.
Tell us about Ushuaia
I didn't have any expectations. The hotel was great although we were surprised that the grasp of English was not so great. Ushuaia- it was clear that the “Malvinas”were still very much considered to be Argentinian. Didn’t feel that the British were liked!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
We now have so much more knowledge about Antarctica and some of the issues re Climate change.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I would like to give some feedback on our Patagonian part of the trip.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
We felt well prepared. But we were lucky with the weather in Antarctica too. I am not sure what the experience would have been like if we had not been able to go out on the zodiacs, not nearly as enjoyable, i would think.
Would you consider another trip to Antarctica with Swoop?
