Kayaking with Leopard Seals., Humpbacks seeking Krill and swimming around the Zodiak several meters away, and seeking the raw nature of the Antartica.

Tell us about the Kayaking
Loved the Kayaking. We got soooo close to the wildlife. The guides were extremely knowledgable and allowed us to get into places that you can't get with a zodiac.

The ship lived up to my expectations. The dining food was great and the cabins were extremely comfortable

All the team is passionate and Oceanwide put together a great crew to lead us.
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
I had a great time on the excursions. Never once did I have to worry about my safety. Each driver was extremely responsible in handling the vessel. The embarking/disembarking was also handled professionally.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
I packed too much.. A lot of the advice was focused on bundling up but with you moving so much and getting on/off as well as proximity of the ship, I could have gotten away with a lot less. Also check the laundry service. If it is not included, there is a fee, and it can be expensive but typically you can wear the same base and mid layers and rotate them every other day and they do fine.

I felt very prepared.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
For me, seeing the expense and landscape was something that really humbled me. We happened to be the only ship in much of the areas for almost 2 weeks and it was breathtaking to see as much as we did.
