What was your most memorable moment?
The daily expeditions were well run, adventurous, and led by amazingly insightful, patient, and FUN expedition staff. There was no one moment that was great, they were all great.

Tell us about the wildlife
The seal and penguin species were well documented by the expedition staff and I felt that Aurora did a great job with educating us before arrival in Antarctica from various speeches and learning opportunities to know about what we'd encounter. There were numerous great photo opportunities daily!
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
The boats were so new and wonderful ways to explore and adventure around the ice and shore landings. My favorite cruise was for when we went camping one night, just a pristine evening cruise with calm waters for a remarkable adventure.
Tell us about the expedition team
John and Isabelle from Aurora Expeditions were great, extremely knowledgeable, and fun! The rest of the staff were great as well, each offering unique perspectives and fun tales along the way. Wes led a great camping trip. Alena was a great spa manager. David was a hilarious lecturer. Howard ran a tight ship. They were all fantastic.
Tell us about the Greg Mortimer
The SS Greg Mortimer was a great ship - very new and offering wonderful amenities - the cabins were spacious and offering lovely views and a deck, the food was spectacular and the gym was great as well, top notch, I'd sail aboard again!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Look at all the companies and timelines, and especially take a tour of each of the ships, and learn as much about the expedition staff as you can beforehand as they can make or break the trip. Aurora was a great choice, and I'm sure others are good too.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I had an amazing time in Antarctica with Aurora Expeditions, and got to experience Antarctica in a lovely way, and hope global warming doesn't expedite the depletion of what was such an amazing adventure in years to come.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Charlie and Emma were great, very communicative and quick to respond to any questions I had along the way.
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
Nah, maybe just continuously summarizing ALL of the information outside of the portal to those that don't read it, though I did read it all so I was fine.
