Being up close and personal with the seals and penguins was incredible

They were great ! They were always safe and the expedition staff went out of their way to make sure we had the experience that we wanted.
Tell us about the expedition team
For me the lecture winner was Nina Gallo who was just an incredible wealth of knowledge who took obvious joy in sharing it with us but all of them were excellent.Howard was so appreciative of his staff and made sure everything was executed with the utmost excellence.Roger ,Tamsin ,Ana ,Nicole ,Paulina and one other woman whose name escapes me - tall ,thin ,very friendly ,American who I briefly chatted with while she was stamping postcards at Port Lockroy to send to friends.
Tell us about the Sylvia Earle
Cabin was great ,food was awesome ,this smaller boat was great at getting into many areas a larger boat would have failed at - I spoke with a man on the way home who was on a different expedition for over three weeks on a larger ship and he said they only actually had eight Zodiac landings the entire time
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
All I ended up needing for my phone ( camera ) was a small hip sack I carried ,the waterproof pouch was a waste of money for me ,bring lots of merino wool for Zodiac trips

No material items are equivalent to the joy of an incredible experience
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
The people were great - Emma ,Venus ,Malva ,and David were all excellent and the first three were so so very helpful and patient in helping me understand so many things
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
I dunno ,I really felt like everything was pretty much perfect.
