Tell us about the expedition team
I'd say the staff was incredible all around. Pippa, with George and Chloe as her assistants, was an outstanding expedition leader. Mal was great. Julia, Saskia, Charlotte, Alexis, Erin, and Gonzalo were the best. Loved Szyman's election on orcas, George's on the geopolitics of Antarctica, Chloe's on plankton. All were easy to talk to on board the ship and gave freely of their time. On shore or in a Zodiac, they were knowledgeable and friendly, and at all times helpful.
Tell us about the Hondius
Very nice ship. Was a bit worried on all the family in a quad but it worked out fine. Loved the hotel staff.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
You don't need to overpack. Merino wool base and mid-layers are re-wearable. Rent your outerwear and waterproof pants if you don't own them. Be sure to have a good enough fleece/rain jacket for walking around Ushuaia.

Yes.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Better and consistent communication. After Emma handed off to Aimee, I hoped it would go smoothly. It did not. Once Aimee left, I was adrift without a good option. There was too long a gap between Aimee and Alicia, who had to play catch up since she was not on board from the start.
Would you consider another trip to Antarctica with Swoop?
No

Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
Again, it felt strange to see other Swoop customers with Swoop gear but I didn't have any.
