What was your most memorable moment?
The experiences offered by Oceanwide, including daily landings, kayaking, mountaineering and zodiac cruises as available. This provided days filled with adventure and bringing you up and close and personal to the vast and beautiful landscape.

Tell us about the wildlife
The wildlife we saw on a daily basis was more than we could have imagined. From the varieties of penguins, seals, whales and birds we were able to be feet away from these incredible animals. One of my favorite encounters was on a zodiac cruise where we had 6 humpbacks breaching close to us. The Oceanwide crew also made sure we were respectful to the wildlife’s space and regulations for Antarctica.
Tell us about Ushuaia
We enjoyed visiting Ushuaia prior to our trip and had the opportunity to explore hikes in the area to get a sense of the Patagonia landscape.

I highly recommend Oceanwide for an experience filled trip to Antarctica! You get so much out of this trip from amazing food, comfortable and cozy lodging, thoughtful and educated crew members and guides and a great feel for what Antarctica is all about.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Choose a trip that includes excursions and activities in the overall cost (like Oceanwide). Your days will be filled with a well curated and active schedule. You will have the flexibility to relax and there is something for everyone. There was never a dull moment.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I was never to cross the Drake passage, but after being a part of the trip I have more trust and confidence in the crew members who are experts and experienced for sailing through the turbulent waters.
