What was your most memorable moment?
Kayaking in the brash ice in Neko Harbor. The stillness created by the ice was broken only by the occasional glacier calving. We paddled past a sleeping crab eater seal and watched feeding penguins swim past.

Tell us about the Kayaking
The kayaking was very well run and achieved a perfect balance between adventure and safety. Kayaking offers the opportunity to experience the wildlife and ice at water level and with a quiet stillness that is not possible in a Zodiac, though there were times when the Zodiacs gave a better opportunity to photograph, such as humpback whales feeding.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Wait for an itinerary that includes South Georgia Island.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I've become more aware of how privileged I am to have experienced such a place.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
No, you did everything right. The webinars were very informative. I was much better informed about closures of sites on S. Ga. Is. than many other guests.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
The webinars did a great job of both increasing anticipation and preparedness. I forgot to take my waterproof phone case and lanyard, but I was duly advised. I took and remembered to apply sunscreen every time.
