What was your most memorable moment?
Impossible! You are surrounded by majestic beauty. The blue hues of the ice, rugged, snow covered mountains… whales feeding… penguins so comical on land, yet so graceful in the water. Just so magnificent.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Fantastic! Most memorable: we were surrounded by humpbacks. One dove ten feet from our raft, tail high and swam right under us.
Tell us about the expedition team
They were knowledgeable and friendly! Hard to pick the best. There were no average members. Esther, Adam, Ursula, Georgina, Sosha, Elisabeth all wonderful.
Tell us about the Hondius
Cabin was very nice…. Housekeeping staff were very accommodating. Marianne became like family. Ralf and staff did a magnificent job.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Don’t stay with your group. Get to know people. Rented parkas were worth it.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Just reminded me wha a unique and beautiful planet we inhabit.

Nope! Couldn’t have asked for better.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
The travel to ge there is fatiguing, but from Ushuaia on …. Fabulous!
