Very, very knowledgeable about Antarctica
Tell us about the Ultramarine
Very modern ship. Cabin was excellent. Heated bathroom floor! Food very good with nice selection.
Tell us about the Kayaking
Our favorite! Would highly recommend. Not as exhausting as I thought it would be. My only suggestion would be for the guides to slow down at times while on the water. Some of us were not that strong when paddling and would fall behind. The guide would lead our group and frequently stop to explain what we were seeing. That's great, but my kayak was usually lagging behind. By the time we caught up with the guide, his talk was over and we missed out on all the information.
Tell us about the Camping
Would not do this again. Basically go ashore and immediately get in your sleeping bag for the night. Nothing else to see or do. Camping area is roped off, so nowhere to explore or look around.
Tell us about Buenos Aires
We arrived a couple days early and stayed in Puerto Maduro. Very nice area. Safe
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
A blast. Very safe, drivers were great. Suggest wearing a face covering. It gets cold when the zodiac is zipping alone.
Tell us about Ushuaia
Didn't spend enough time here to form an opinion. Beautiful mountain background though.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Don't forget your swimsuit for the polar plunge! I took Dramamine for the Drake Passage and it worked well.

We took too many warm clothes. Wasn't as cold as I thought it would be.
