What was your most memorable moment?
WE went out in kayaks and hear the glaciers crack and rumble. I have been around snow and glaciers my whole life but to be sitting on the water in the quiet hearing those sounds... it was magical!

Tell us about the Seaventure
The perfect size ship for our antarctic adventure. Well kept with wonderful crew members. We were so impressed by the ships officers and deck crew being very passenger focused (this is not always the case on ships). As an example, one afternoon I heard the Captain radio the bridge directing them to pull ahead so the propellers would move the floating ice around the ship to make zodiac landings easier for the adventure crews and their passengers. The outer decks were washed down daily.
Tell us about the Paddling
We were lucky to be in a small group of kayakers, lead by Sante. We had an amazing time. We paddled close to the glaciers and heard them crack and rumble. We paddled through brash ice. We paddled under cormarant nests and landed on the Antarctica peninsula. It was a great morning adventure.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Go. Don't be put off by the cost, just go.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Like many of the other passengers we were already very conscious of pollution and our footprint on this earth, but going to a place as isolated, hard and beautiful as Antarctica really ingrains the fragility and the importance of taking care of this earth into your very soul.
