The enormity of Antarticia and how pristine it is. Made me feel hopeful/terrified for the future of our planet.

Absolutely on all of the above.
Tell us about the expedition team
Very fun, friendly, informative and supportive. I was traveling with my son so both of us enjoyed the company. Some of the lectures were a bit basic but I am trained in science so probably was a bit hypercritical
Tell us about the Greg Mortimer
Beautiful. Would choose it again. Both of us are picky eaters and never had a meal we didn't like Room was great. Heated bathroom floor didn't seem to work but no big deal to us
Tell us about the Paddling
We switched from Paddling to kayaking in the hopes of having ability to get to more areas. Those lines seemed a bit blurred as often we all went together. I may have missed it but really not sure when we signed up that the difference between the two was clear. Regardless, I thought the entire kayak team was excellent. Friendly, supportive, informative and I always felt they were paying close attention to safety measures.
Something Else?
I am a physician with my career being in Emergency Medicine. I have also been a ship's doctor multiple times in my early career. I was highly impressed by the vigilance throughout the trip. I am semi-retired and took my son on the trip for a gift. Would love to know if there are any options for a person that does not want a roommate to join a trip and not pay double if they can go on short notice if there are extra spots available . Just curious but doubtful this is an option? Will absolutely recommend this trip to family and friend. Just loved it. Please commend the Kayak crew.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Be diligent about packing just what you need. Try to prepare if doing more walking, paddling etc. by doing appropriate exercise prior to trip. Do not miss the Polar plunge if available.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Just made me realize nature travel is what I will plan more of as I find it inspiring and relaxing.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Hmmmm...not really. First class experience for generations 40 years apart. Seniors should not shy away but prepare as it is more than worth it.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Very. Below answering No......just because we have been years ago
