Very passionate and energetic team who clearly loved being there and sharing their love of the continent with others.
Tell us about the Plancius
No frills but perfect for the trip. The rooms got too hot with no ability to cool (particularly a quad), so we had to prop the door open much of the time to keep from overheating. Food was good, not great, but we were never left wanting. Wish snacks were available throughout the day. I would chose ship again, but would also be curious about more modern, non-luxury options to see how they compare.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Do it, but don't expect it to be a relaxing getaway.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Strengthened my appreciation of the needs to preserve the natural environment, and made me worry about the geopolitical climate making the future of Antarctica feel more uncertain.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Appreciated the tools and resources, even if we didn't end up directly interacting with the team too much as the trip approached. Knowing you all were available was reassuring.

Quite.
