What was your most memorable moment?
Spending a few precious moments on the continent by myself to listen and absorb its wonder. I was alone at the end of a tour as the staff collected flags and we left the continent as fog rolled in, two penguins led us back to the zodiac. A truly mystical moment. Thank you…

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Make it more than a “tourist” destination. Don’t waste a moment.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
To spend time by myself looking out on glaciers, bays and icebergs from continent of Antarctica was like opening every closet and corner of my mind in one instance, good, bad, all of the sorrow all of the joy of 71 years at once not separated by time or other thoughts. I guess that is what happens when you literally and figuratively reach the end of the world,. A moment to be savored and cherished.

How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I felt clothing wise I was over prepared. I am glad I didn’t leave any of your recommendations out!!!!!
