All of it, for different reasons: the weather, wildlife, nature, the expedition team and the boat plus its staff all contributed to making it a great experience!

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
It felt very safe, sometimes I felt even too safe as some conditions seemed doable, but were considered not to be. Also maybe to the elevated average age and health of passengers? Anyway, the guides have the experience, so all I could do was trust them.

Super knowledgeable and friendly indeed! An amazing overall team.
Tell us about the Hondius
Excellent ship, comfortable enough cabins, excellent food an staff. I might personally prefer a smaller boat, but I have no complaints.
Tell us about Ushuaia
I loved the hiking and outdoor options Ushuaia offered: I did many day hikes before and after the boat trip. Glaciers and cerros and hard hikes: all the stuff I love!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Bring layers. Try to not eat all the food. Be prepared to see more wild life than you could imagine.

Not really.

Not really prepared, but excited enough before boarding :)
