What was your most memorable moment?
Too many to pick from. The sheer number of humpbacks and orcas and how close they were was completely amazing. Then the Iguazu falls extension. Day after day you think it couldn't get any better but then it would. I wasn't really expecting the food and accomadations to be so good but both were excellent. We really enjoyed the lectures and seminars. Not your typical tour guides.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Loved the Zodiacs. Always felt safe. The humpbacks and orcas that you could literally touch were my favorite. The guides said they had never seen that many whales.
Were Swoop right to recommend Oceanwide Expeditions?
Yes
Tell us about the expedition team
Really enjoyed the seminars. Very knowledgable and informative. My favorites were the historical, photography, and glaciologist lectures but they were all great. Did not miss any.
Tell us about the Plancius
Actually exceeded expectations. Wasn't really sure what to expect from a refurbished expedition ship. The food and cabin were excellent. Would definitely recommend and choose the Plancius again.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Bring you sea sick meds... I don't get sea sick but the Drake Passage can get to the best of them.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
It was an amazing experience.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
It's not a big deal but I would change the name of the lectures to seminars.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Very excited. The rental gear was very good. Everything else was taken care of
