What was your most memorable moment?
It's hard to come up with just one! Loved seeing the penguins, watching two whales play alongside the ship during dinner, seeing all the beautiful icebergs.

Tell us about the expedition team
Mario and his team were wonderful. We had some weather related glitches at the beginning and end of the trip and he did a great job of explaining the issues, keeping us informed and finding activites to keep us busy.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Be ready for weather to be a big impact on your trip and be ready to roll with the punches! For us, it delayed our Drake Crossing for a day and our return flight to PA by a day. Other than that, we had amazing weather (blue skies some day and no wind any of the days) in Antarctica and that made a big difference. If we had had lots of wind and snow, it might not have been quite as fun.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
More appreciation for what a magical place Antarctica is, and how we as a planet need to preserve it.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Although the ship had wifi, the connection was pretty slow, especially when everyone was on board. It became an issue when we needed to rebook our flight from PA back to Santiago. I tried sending an email to your polarbookings address to see if someone could help with flights but never got a response. Since phone calls are pretty tough onboard, it would have been helpful if we had the ability to chat with Swoop via Whatsapp (maybe this exists and I missed it). We were finally able to rebook using the laptop in the library so everything worked out.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Quite prepared. We had not bought walking sticks and this is something we definitely felt we needed once we experienced some of the landings. We were happy to see that Aurora had them available.
