Tell us about the expedition team
The ENTIRE expedition staff was phenomenal. So knowledgeable and able to answer questions while out on excursions and then provide excellent and informative lectures back on the boat. It made it feel like a study abroad trip met summer camp.
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
They were incredible! Being able to cruise between glaciers and up close to whales was phenomenal.
Tell us about the Hondius
The ship exceeded expectations. The rooms were modern, clean and nice. The dining facility and gathering areas were perfect. The hotel staff and restaurant staff were incredible. I couldn’t have asked for a better boat.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Do it.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
It definitely makes you realize how harsh and inhospitable Antarctica is - how humans don’t belong down there permanently. It also makes you realize that life in earth will continue to go on whether or not we are here.
