What was your most memorable moment?
It's hard to pick a specific moment because the entirety of the expedition was exceptional. I would have to specify kayaking among the icebergs as my top priority, but this is only by a tiny margin compared with the wildlife encounters.
Which of the following best describes your adventure?

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Amazing and memorable. I definitely felt safe and taken care of.
Tell us about the expedition team
A highly knowledgeable team that was very happy to share their experiences. I've learnt a lot during both lectures and in-person conversations.
Tell us about the Seaventure
The ship was a grand surprise. Based on its age, I presumed that the ship was going to be rather dated. Instead, I was greeted with surprisingly well equipped and modern amenities and a very well designed layout of the bedrooms. I would definitely choose this ship again.
Tell us about the Camping
Unfortunately, we did not get to camp.
Tell us about the Kayaking
This was exceptionally enjoyable! Being (at times) one on one with the wild nature of the Antarctic continent is an unparalleled experience that simply cannot be matched. It was beyond my wildest expectations.
Something Else?
It was unfortunate that we didn't get to camp. Both my brother and I were really looking forward to it. Food on the boat was good, and at times even excellent. However, I would have loved to see more fruit and fresh vegetables and less sweet / more fruity dessert options. Also, fake watery juice? Come on, you can do better than that.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Layers. Lots and lots of layers. Three layers of wool socks. Weather can vary from -8C with wind to +5C with super warm sun.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
The experience was so life-changing it's hard to put it in words. It has definitely affected my priorities, and I've already started restructuring my life to focus on new concepts that have become more important as a result of this trip. I can clearly see why some people return to Antarctica multiple times.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Everything was well organised. Thank you very much for this experience!
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Thanks to Swoop and Polar Latitude's pre-journey advice and especially thanks to the packing list, I had everything I needed for this trip.
