Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Zodiac excursions felt very safe and allowed an intimate experience of the Antarctic Peninsular. Was able to see the marine sea animals and ice bergs upclose during these trips
Tell us about the expedition team
Very knowledgeable and friendly. Interacted with guests on board and were always keen on sharing information and helped in identifying different species of animals. The presentations on board were very detailed and interesting. Woody our expedition leader was very good and always ensured safe landing and cruising conditions
Tell us about the Ocean Explorer
Great ship with excellent stabilisers. The captain of the ship was very experienced and manoeuvred the ship flawlessly around ice bergs.. beautiful cabin with walk in balcony and good choice of food and drinks

The Parka provided by Quark Expedition is very good
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Due get a patch if the rolling of ship on The Drake Passage makes one sick
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes, I’ve come back as an ambassador of the white continent and nature in general, i am determined of protecting the environment in any small way I can and mindful of the impact my actions might have on the flora and fauna around me.

How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I was prepped very well, thanks Swoop for the advice on clothing. It helped me to keep myself warm throughout the trip
