The view at Neko Harbour once the fog lifted, the views from the top of Portal point, the whale watching show that we had from our boat!

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
The Zodiac expeditions were some of the best parts of the expedition. It facilitated a really immersive experience. We felt very safe at all times because the expedition team was so good. One zodiac cruise in particular was special when we went through all the brash ice . It felt like we were floating through a sea of ice. We also once saw a leopard seal really up close and a humpback whale as well.
Tell us about the expedition team
The expedition team was absolutely fantastic! Diego, the leader, in particular was truly amazing. Right from the choices he made for landings and zodiac cruises to his briefings to his immense knowledge .. we would recommend an expedition with him as a leader any day. Some of the expedition crew we really enjoyed interacting with were Christian, Tammy, Heleen..
Tell us about the Ocean Victory
The ship was super comfortable and the food was just great. The service on the ship could not have been better. The navigation was top class and we always felt safe in spite of it being so challenging for the captain and his crew. The F&B team was top class. They really made us feel special and kept in mind all our needs. They really made the whole trip even more special. Special mention to Deepak (F&B Manager), Stanford (Head Waiter), Sachin (Bar attendent).. they all really made it feel like home.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
We believe that Jan 3rd week or so is one of the best times to go.. the penguin chicks are still with the parents (that's really special to see) and the weather is as warm as possible
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes. Exchanging views with so many people has enriched our views on travel and also the environment in a very positive way. Seeing how untouched and well preserved Antarctica is, and all without any government intervention was amazing.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
We were very well prepared and very excited.
