This adventure has exceeded my expectations on many levels. The event that will be forever engraved on my heart will be when I completed the 2nd Polar Plunge at Deception Island. It was a culminating celebration of mountaineering, kayaking, camping, and new discoveries with the wildlife. It was also an opportunity to celebrate like children at a birthday party. I loved the bonds I established with the other participants over cold and hot waters. It really felt like a celebration.

Each Zodiac excursion was an opportunity to get out into another world. It was an opportunity to get a holistic experience about the planned experience. It was about seeing things closer, smelling the ocean and the animals, hearing the sounds of the water lapping against the ice and rocks, and it was an opportunity to taste the salty waters too. I loved the zipping feeling I got as we meandered around icebergs the size of buses.

Each team member: Mal, Andi, Andy, Chloe, Zet, Pierre, Paulo, Juan and Lucia were professional and engaging at all times. They were passionate about their work and they enjoyed sharing what they knew with us so that we could also develop a better understanding and passion for Antarctica and all its treasures. The ship was a true marvel. It navigated the various passages like a luxury ship. It was the right size for what I was seeking. The best part of the ship was the bridge were guests could easily access and come close to the captain and crew. It was also the perfect place to spot whales and other creatures.

This was another great experience I will not soon forget. I loved the stillness and the beauty that engulfed me. I woke up several times to enjoy the views and each time I shed a small tear of joy and happiness. I saw things I never thought I would ever experience. Let's just say my heart is full.
