Life before Swoop
When I was younger, I was fortunate enough to live and work in the French Alps, where I fell in love with the mountains. I also explored the continents of Southeast Asia and Australasia, meeting so many fascinating people along the way.
Returning home, I fell into a career in hospitality, where I managed some of the UK’s most prestigious riverside gastro pubs and restaurants.
A job in the travel industry came next. After spending almost a decade creating bespoke trips in some of Southeast Asia's most remote destinations for my clients, I’m now a specialist in Earth's least-travelled continent: Antarctica.

Why I love travelling
I’m a fan of the adventurous side of travel – I’m always seeking out-of-the-box experiences. In fact, I was the first traveller to ever enter Nakai Nam Theun National Park in southern Laos and have even kayaked through the longest cave in the world!
Whichever country I'm in you’ll find me in the great outdoors, where I love to walk, cycle and explore whenever I get the opportunity. I always like to challenge myself to taking on new activities and have a huge passion for wild swimming, too.
