Why we like this ship

  • A purpose-built expedition ship equipped with ample outdoor space and bright, airy communal areas
  • The observation lounge features enormous windows that perfectly frame the passing Antarctic landscapes
  • Onboard health and wellness facilities include a 360° walking track, large window-lined sauna and two hot tubs
  • Heated seats out on the bow observation deck are a thoughtful touch for wildlife watching
  • A dedicated science hub offers guests the opportunity to get involved with polar research projects
  • Optional activities include kayaking, camping, paddling and stand-up paddleboarding (additional cost)

We think it's worth noting

  • The main lecture theatre is located in the bow and doesn't have windows, which can be slightly uncomfortable in rough weather for those susceptible to seasickness

The multiple deck spaces are excellent for wildlife watching, but if you get chilly, the huge windows in the cosy Observation Lounge mean that you don't miss the incredible Antarctic icescapes while you warm up.
