What was your most memorable moment?
The most memorable moment was waking up the morning after arriving at the Antartica Peninsular. The snow ladened landscape around us looked surreal and stunning

Tell us about the wildlife
Wildlife encountered met with our expectations. Our favourite, hands down, was the penguins! I managed to shoot some pictures but wish I had taken more. The odour of the guano was pretty challenging though. haha
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
The zodiac cruises were so memorable as one is able to get up close and personal to the icebergs. The arctic cemetery for runaway icebergs was unique and breathtaking.
Tell us about the expedition team
They were ALL amazing. From Paul to Pablo to Ashley to Steffi to Maru to the rest of the crew, we enjoyed their genuine personalities and efforts in making the trip safe and educational and FUN.
Tell us about the Island Sky
The ship at first glance seemed a little dated in terms of outlook but the oh my the food, was excellent.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Yes stay for at least one week in Antartica and FLY over the Drake passage instead of spending two days in and out, sailing to the Peninsular.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes, it has made realise how insignificant we are as human beings compared to the force of Mother Nature. And that perhaps one should let go of some things in order to get a better quality of life, ie not to sweat the small stuff.
