The kayaking was the best and most memorable part of my Antarctica trip. The ability to paddle up to the wildlife and landscape with little to no disruption was wonderful!

Tell us about the wildlife
The variety of wildlife that we saw was excellent. I had no idea we would see so many whales. The penguins were so incredibly charismatic, and the seals were fascinating to watch.
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
I did not go on as many zodiac excursions as kayaking. The excursions I did go on were wonderful!
Tell us about the expedition team
The expedition team were great! They were incredibly knowledgeable and approachable. The ship’s operator did a very good job in their selection. I learned so much from them and their lectures!
Tell us about the Hondius
The Hondius was more than I expected. It was incredibly luxurious and made the whole experience that much more amazing. The food they offered was fresh and delicious. The observation lounge and lecture hall were great too!
Tell us about the Camping
I loved the camping, it went a lot faster than I expected, but it was a great experience. I would highly recommend this to other travellers if they don't mind being a bit tired the next day, as it was an early morning.
Tell us about the Kayaking
I highly recommend kayaking to other travellers. This is what really made the trip for me. Plus I felt that I was able to make more friends by kayaking.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Be prepared for plans to change due to weather. Layer clothing as much as possible.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I definitely fell like going more zero-waste in my life.
