Landings in South Georgia. Stepping off the zodiac into Sailbury Plains where there are thousands of king penguins and fur seals just waiting to greet you.

Tell us about the wildlife
The wildlife in South Georgia was amazing! I would recommend everybody who makes the journey to Antartica to make sure that they include South Georgia in their itinerary.
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
I was a bit disappointed with the zodiac operations of the ship. I feel that safety was and always should be a concern...however, what is considered unsafe for some, is not always unsafe for everybody. Perhaps the doctor onboard the ships should conduct some sort of mobility assessment in the beginning of a voyage. I feel that some landings and zodiac cruises were canceled because a few passengers would have struggled.
Tell us about the expedition team
The expedition staff were wonderful. They had a lot of knowledge in their individual fields and were excited to help us explore such a unique territory.
Tell us about the Ortelius
Food was great. Living conditions were great! Perhaps the boat needs a gym or a space for more active activities.
