Tell us about the wildlife
We were really like with spotting lots of whales; as expected there were also a lot of penguins, seals and all kinds of birds. Wildlife in South Georgia was really overwhelming!
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Our Zodiac excursion were also really amazing. We did two of them - one in South Georgia were we couldn't land due to moulting elephant seals and one in Antarctic Peninsula where we could not land due to bad conditions. We always felt safe and the expedition staff was always giving lots of informations and was really trying to show us everything from the best angle. The most memorable zodiac cruise was at Sout Orkney Islands at Orcada Station. It was the first time we saw lots of ice and we had chinstrap penguins on the icebergs and a leopard seal. That was amazing
Tell us about the expedition team
Everyone from the expedition team was really friendly and had lots of information about wildlife, history and just anything you might want to know about Antarctica. I really loved Pippa Low, she had an amazing knowledge about whales and my favorite lecture was her lecture about sounds in the ocean.
Tell us about the Ortelius
The Ortelius was a great, I loved this ship and I would definitely choose it again if we do another cruise. The cabin was spacier than imagined and had everything we needed. Also the food was outstanding in variety and taste.
Tell us about {area.title}
I loved our cruise to Antarctica. Every landing was a highlight and it is definiely the best place I have ever visited.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
They will be well prepared if they book with Swoop :)

Now, that I have seen this magic place I really want to do even more to save it.
