I would have enjoyed spending more time exploring the whales' behavior than seeing even more penguins.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Perhaps you should prepare older people for some of the challenges of getting in and out of the zodiacs, and walking on the pebbles, ice and penguin poop. It was not always easy, and I wish I'd been better prepared. The boots you provided were big and klunky, and had no purchase on the ice.
