The Moment when one of our guides, Steffie, told us to put down our cameras when we were on an outing on the Zodiac, and just listen! It was surreal - the peace that surrounded us, the sound of the whales, blowing through their blow hole, the water lapping around us - I realized, I have not actually been listening for years!

Never got tired of the antics of the penguins! dont have any pictures of the whales because I keep using my eyes to see them not the eyes of the camera, I found a seal waving at us and laughing at the same time! ( I can prove it)

Water makes me nervous, but I got into those Zodiacs because I knew what awaited me was bigger than my fear of them going down!

Each and everyone one of the team displayed their passion for their chosen subject. So much so, I waited every day to hear the next topic. The detail they went into was superior to what I expected. She is beautiful! We had a rough crossing both times, worse going to Antarctica than coming back but she was wonderful. Clean, with amazing staff who made sure we had everything we wanted. Our chamber person made little animals out of our towels every day, a great surprise when we got back to the cabin in the evenings - I have pictures if you want them

A little dream town. My hotel was basic but clean and in the center of town. I eat at all the recommended restaurants and eat the recommended King Crab Claws! I collected some gifts there, visited the tourist sites and would like to think I may revisit

If you could perhaps be clearer with regard to clothing/boot requirements for hiking/mountaineering. I wanted to do the Ice climbs but did not have boots hard enough to wear the crampons - I created quite the fuss with Mal on our first day but I quickly got over it. If you could discuss with the guides, the exact brand they think necessary, everyone could then get all the activities in. Also discuss/suggest to us, your clients, that preparation is most definitely necessary for this trip if one wants to do serious mountaineering

Dont pack heavily - not necessary and laundry does a great job Prepare for the trip if you wish to do serious mountaineering and bring the right boots bring reading material as you will have down time and there is not alot to do other than meet great people and drink tea/coffee and eat cookies Read everything you can about Antarctica before you go - you will understand alot more on arrival in particular - what is snow, how is it formed, etc

Yes, I am going to change my diet to vegan. I am going to advocate for supermarkets to really cut back on plastic (I thought I might cut back on alcohol, for my own benefit, but changed my mind!!!!!)
