While in the front of a kayak surrounded by cocktail ice to watch a Humpback adult and calf breech in unison while they swam directly towards us.

Tell us about the wildlife
Three species of penguins, 3 species of whales and 6 species of seals - impressive. Yes but it took awhile to learn to photo fast moving penguins.
Tell us about the expedition team
Yes the team was knowledgeable and friendly. Lectures could be improved with better powerpoints and media equipment. Outstanding were Andre, Allison and Ken.
Tell us about the Ocean Nova
Our cabin steward was outstanding - Daisy. The ship was a bit tired in appearance especially with fabric and carpet selections. THe food was delicious especially with variety and freshness.
Tell us about the Kayaking
This was the highlight. Sophie and Uhle were terrific as to explaining what to expect, what was in front of us and keeping us safe. Kayaking is about its unique personal perspective, peaceful wildlife encounters, & multi-sensory immersion into the Antarctic landscape.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Leave more flight time on the front and backend of the trip - 2 days instead of 1. Avoid flight changes on Chilean airlines.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Antartica is more of a real place and surrounding waters are so important for ocean health.
