Actually setting foot on land. Half More on Island Antarctica. The experience of going through the Drake Passage was a close second

Definitely will remember the first zodiac ride just before touching land for the first time. Always felt safe

Team was extremely knowledgeable. I enjoyed the one on one time just listening to their past experiences
Tell us about the Ocean Nova
Enjoyed the ship. Cabin was acceptable and you don’t spend too much time in it anyway. Food was incredible. I would definitely choose this ship again
Something Else?
Buy souvenirs before you board the ship. My cell phone camera was more than enough to capture the moment and the on board photographer provides some beautifully captured moments. Definitely bring a bathing suit and do the Polar Plunge!

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
No. I am a life long traveler and this was my last continent. It was everything I hoped it would be

Swoop did an excellent job
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I was very prepared. Did some research before going and did not overpack. My trip was cancelled twice for COVID so I had three years to prepare
