What was your most memorable moment?

Going through the Lemaire channel twice. First time was amazing. Also visiting the huts at port Lockroy, Petermann, and Wordie. What a way to have lived.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions

Fantastic. Very impressed with the all the safety measures. Well done. Never concerned about getting in and out of Zodiacs. However, I do think that the two people assisting those entering the Zodiacs should have a harness on. Melchior islands were amazing.

Very competent. I would like to join them.

Tell us about the Seaventure

Amazing ship. Disappointed about not getting to the Bridge. Pre info said free access. Also annoyed pool was always shut. Info said open all the time. For economic reasons. Bull! Meals were over the top. Far more than what I expected or needed.

Something Else?

I went to considerable trouble to inform Swoop of my change of flights ( not my doing). Evidently someone didn't pass this onto the Cruise director who seemed to be a non entity. She was at the hotel and that was about it. She never got my message and so when I arrived at the airport in Ushuaia, after 36 hrs of travel time there was no-one was there to meet me, even thought I was assured by Swoop that I would be met. So after an expensive phone call on my behalf, $40.00 Sarah agreed to send me a taxi, which I paid for and was then reimbursed for. Not so the ph call. Then on arrival at the hotel at 9:30 am I was told to go to town because a room would not be available until 2pm. However, a very pleasant lady took pity on me and allowed me access to a room at no extra charge. No support from Swoop or PL. This lack of continuity is a problem and it shouldn't happen when you are paying top dollar for service.

Get the fine tuning and read all the fine print

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

The Antarctic is a very special place and space and 100,000 people should not be visiting it every year. Cap it.

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?

Improved communication. get your facts right.

How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?

I was very prepared and very excited. I have been flat since I returned. It was an amazing experience which I will treasure and talk about for the rest of my life.
