PlanciusOverall, how was your trip?
The wildlife and scenery was amazing. I was so impressed with the expedition and ship crew who really made every effort to give us as many experiences as possible. We were lucky with the weather, which nobody can control. The biggest surprise was that the trip was 60% German speaking. I don't know if that is typical.
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
It was beyond what we expected. Wish we could do it again.

How was the service that Swoop provided?
Swoop did help us with the recommendation of the ship and cabin. The Plancius was a well-run ship. I particularly liked that they provided the important boots!

How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
The expedition staff was outstanding. They really made every attempt to give us as many experiences as possible. I was so impressed with their skills and knowledge.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Bring audio books! You can look out and watch for wildlife/scenery as you hear the story. (And if you are seasick, you shouldn't read.)
