Tell us about the wildlife
I was not there for the wildlife, but it was fun to see all the fun all other people were having while checking out one more species of birds or pinguins.
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
I wish there was more. We made some during the landings, but the last people on land were normally already out of time for the additional excursion.
Tell us about the expedition team
They are awesome and seem with an excellent leader, and that make always a stronger team.
Tell us about the MS Expedition
This ship is perfect, not so crowded, possible to land twice every day, all of us. Food was excellent with for all tastes. I totally would choose this ship again, with the same cabin, but first you guys need to add Dive experience to it! Also TV sets on the rooms would be a nice add. When you just want to be in the room, it is a better idea to stream some movies on a bigger screen than on the laptop / phone. The internet being paid at first is annoying, but it in the end enrich the experience being offline.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
It's a life changing experience, that everyone should try it. It is nothing like anything else we can see all over the world and worth every penny. It is considered expensive, but money we can always earn it again, unlike living life which is just once.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Not change, but enriched for sure. I'm not a better person for seeing colonies of pinguins, or navigate under the parallel 65 South. But I'm glad i did it.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Team super helpful along the process, that took more than 2 years thanks to covid. Again, just the covid protocol didn't leave me happy about it.
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
Yes, I should be told that the covid test was free on arrival.
