There were many- but cruising up to glacier at thee d if an amazing day with bright blue skies, the glacier in full view with sun shining and a leopard seal flaring by on an iceberg was spectacular. Zodiac raising with the humpback whales and floating among the icebergs south of the Antarctic Circle was full on wonderful!

Tell us about the wildlife
It was amazing- we saw so many animals and birds and had great lectures to learn more about them
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
They were a great part of the experience- equal to the landings. Always felt safe
Tell us about the expedition team
They are smart, had great backgrounds, were passionate about their areas of speciality and were always accessible. I can’t really say one was better than another they were all 100 percent omitted and capable!
Were Swoop right to recommend Quark Expeditions?

I came to those expedition thinking I was equipped fir everything physical. Turned out I was with one exception- getting back into the zodiac after a landing. I’m very short and had trouble getting my bum o to the edge of the zodiac to swing my legs I . Every time the expedition staff said no problem- let us help and they did. Always when I thanked them they made me feel like they wanted to do it so I could just enjoy the trip. Their attitude helped me not feel like I was imposing on them for the assistance! They also made days at sea interesting with lectures and fun evenings. Since we were on the boat for both Christmas and New Years they went to a lot of work to make meals and celebrations unique and special ! Top notch in every way
Tell us about the Ocean Diamond
Cabin was perfect. The extra cost for a balcony room was worth every penny. Seeing icebergs passing by as we cruised and being able to run out and watch it take pictures was priceless! Housekeeping was more than perfect!
Tell us about Ushuaia
It was interesting- enjoyed a visit to the Park there. The king crab at the local restaurants was superb!! Nice but not a highlight of the trip.
Tell us about Buenos Aires
Loved it- lots to do and see! A very cosmopolitan city with friendly people and good food.

Pick this trip and have the whole experience

Not necessarily but reinforces my belief this is an amazing world full of amazing people, animals and places

Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
No- I think we got everything we needed. We really appreciate all the work rebooking us the two times necessary due to Covid- this the trip we wanted!!
