The overnight camp out was special , we had a beautiful starry night and we’re lucky . Mountaineering came a close second !

Lectures on Plancius from the expedition team were first class , very informative, provided real appreciation of the environment
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Go the expedition route , not the big cruise liner , if you want to really see Antartica . Don’t forget your togs for the polar plunge !
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I’ve been to Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp , Iceland , etc and this trip was right up there with EBC in terms of wow factor and a definite bucket list trip for any serious traveller
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Maybe try and grade the mountaineers so that those who really don’t mind bad weather and are fit enough , can be allowed a more adventurous outing . I recognise safety is paramount as are sea conditions but at least the ones who are familiar with this type of trek get to go out . Not a complaint, just an observation
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
After waiting 3 years because of Covid I was defo prepared and very excited, you are going to Antarctica after all , not Brighton pier .
