What was your most memorable moment?

Being in the midst of a raft of swimming penguins on board a RIB and having a leopard seal surface next to the same!

Which of the following best describes your adventure?

Great holiday

Were Swoop right to recommend Polar Latitudes?

Yes

Tell us about Zodiac excursions

Brilliant, felt safe and only cold a few times! We had some really memorable experiences up close and personal with whales, penguins and seals

Tell us about the expedition team

All first rate - really difficult to pick any one out as a stand out although at different levels Conny was very efficient and Dan was supremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic Favourite lecture was on the impact of climate change on Antarctica

Tell us about the Seaventure

Better than we thought. Cabin was clean and spacious. In retrospect we probably should have paid a bit more for 4th Flor room. Yes would choose ship again.

Something Else?

You are sailing out of sight of land for a long time and the days do drag but soon forgotten once you make next wildlife contact

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?

It’s not as cold as you think. Take reading material for the long transits. Be prepared for too much food!

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

More aware of the fragility of nature

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?

The credit card / dollar situation has changed in Argentina and we only found out by chance and not from Swoop. The inter airport transfer organised by ourselves went very smoothly but there is scope for Swoop to organise this

How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?

Well prepared , excited but also nervous because we didn’t know until the day before that we had passed the covid Test. Which could have meant returning home before the trip started.

Would you consider another trip to Antarctica with Swoop?

Yes

Would you be interested in travelling to Patagonia with Swoop?

Yes

Would you be interested in travelling to The Arctic with Swoop?

Yes
