Tell us about the wildlife
The penguins, whales, seals, and birds were amazing. I love how cute the penguins looked while walking and how close they got to pass into their penguin highways. I got lots of great photos even with just an iPhone.
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
They were so fun! The drivers/guides were great, I felt very safe, and I loved when one of my guides got close to the still icebergs so we can get great shots and a good look.
Tell us about the expedition team
They were as good as they could possibly get. Extremely nice, funny, and knowledgable. You could tell they love what they do. Our leader as well as Gui really stood out to me. All the lectures were great, but I liked Gui's personal stories on his time on the base.
Tell us about the Ocean Victory
It was the best ship! So luxurious, sturdy, and beautiful. My cabin was gorgeous. I loved the balcony and the twin bed was even comfortable. The food was plentiful and there always so many different options. The only problem I had with it is the lack of vegan protein for the dishes and the lack of vegan dessert options from the pastry chef. I would have loved to see more regular vegan dishes, although the chefs did great accommodating my dietary preferences and always served me delicious specialized vegan meals. I would 100% choose this ship every time.

Beautiful town surrounded by mountains. I loved hiking in Tierra del Fuego.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
No need for boots or even a snow jacket, although layers are necessary. Come with a bathing suit and your best camera!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I loved how silent a place could be, with only the sounds of animals and nature.

Make sure to be competitive with pricing and offer last minute deals like Freestyle does.
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
Offer the wifi information and costs up front.
