Overall, how was your trip?
Everyday was a highlight, every landscape wae a new vision of a pristine, untouched planet. Seals, penguins, birds, whams and dolphins... it was like being in a National Geographic documentary but with all the sensations of doing something unique. Not just seeing, but doing, living, and feeling exceptionally humble. Surrounded by nature but also by an amazing staff and respectful travelers, all with a deep sense of respect, kindness. sharing the moment all together. The hardest part of the trip after disembarking was to share with family and friends. An impossible challenge, which can only be understood by going there!
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
Far above expectation, maybe one f the best travel of my (still young) life
Would you visit again?
Maybe
How was the service that Swoop provided?
Very good service from Swoop. All the advices and recommendations even if my trip was not totally clear at the beginning. Available at all time even more after the booking to help with the administrative part. Perfect!
How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?
10 out of 10
How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
Everyday different, every day fantastic. When you tell your friends your going to Antarctica, they answer : "why? it is just ice and freezing wind". It is much more than that. it is landing on almost untouched territories, cruising with seals and whales. having the choice to cruise in zodiac or just relax with the penguins.
How would you describe {vessel.title} if talking to somebody potentially interested in going to Antarctica, and what tips would you pass on?
"A ship not too big not to small", and that is exactly that. Big enough to have your own space to read or chill in front of the sea. Small enough to meet and share with the staff and travelers becoming new friends. Do not go if your not a bit social, you would miss 50% of the trip!
You chose to do {category.title} on this voyage. How was that experience?
Taking the kayaking option was maybe one of the best choice I've made for this trip. Sport, landscape, amazing group of 20 travelers. An amazing team! Imagine a plastic cup of 2meters surrounded by 20 humpback whales, cruising below your kayak, at 1meter... Or breaking the ice with your paddle to get closer to a sleeping seal... Nothing to experience ashore.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
DO IT!* *if you are a respectful social traveler, a bit adventurous, nature lover, and ready to live a moment of a lifetime.
Anything else? Tell us anything you’d like to share that we forgot to ask! It’s ok to leave this empty too :-)
