Hebridean SkyOverall, how was your trip?
Highlights were the Zodiac rides and landings. Lots of seals, whales and of course penguins. The multiple glaciers were majestic. Were had a very friendly and mixed group of people who just all appeared to enjoy everything. Not any real surprises but excellent quality of expedition staff and just a happy ship full of people. Totally different than the Arctic.
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
It was a fantastic trip done in luxury and well thought out programs. Lived up to and exceeded expectations

How was the service that Swoop provided?
Swoop was excellent and great recommendation of the voyage. Upgrade was fantastic and any concerns were handled quickly and a wonderful service. Help in ship and up grade was great. Communication was very good.

How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
Zodiac excursions were great for all landings and the commentary by the experts. The wild life was exceptional with whales under our boat as well as seals. Expedition staff were passionate about the trip and very knowledgeable.
How would you describe {vessel.title} if talking to somebody potentially interested in going to Antarctica, and what tips would you pass on?
The boat rooms were top rate and food superb. Better than our Paul Gauguin cruise in the south Pacific. The captain chose the times re Drake passage and avoided the storms. The boat staff were all efficient, courteous and kept the boat immaculate. Best cruise we have done.
You chose a/an {area.title} voyage. How was that experience?
Everything we expected and more.
If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?
We arranged our own as we stopped in Peru for 2 weeks and went directly back to Canada afterwards. They di arrange an efficient airport pick up in Ushuaia which was much appreciated.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Just do it. It is expensive but a good bang for the buck and a once in a lifetime experience.

I have talked to John re sending photos. We have been to Patagonia and I have been to the Arctic, however Iceland is on the bucket list.
