Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Too few. Also, with over 100 passengers time was limited. If I were to return I would pick a ship with less than 100 passengers. I did not appreciate the impact.
Tell us about the Seaventure
Very comfortable and while I would not consider it luxurious was very adequate. I would chose a smaller ship next time as previously stated.
Were Swoop right to recommend Polar Latitudes?
Yes
Tell us about the expedition team
Expedition team was both knowledgeable and approachable. Perhaps some of the Zodiac drivers could have been a bit more skilled?
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
It depends on perspective. For anyone focused on a more immersive Antarctica experience I would recommend a ship of less than 100 passengers. For photographers, carefully consider the ship’s layout as it may affect photographic opportunities. Again for people for whom photography is important, consider weight restrictions if contemplating flying to Antarctica as opposed to crossing the Drake via ship.

Not really.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I felt very prepared. I could go 100 times and still feel excited about that spectacular place.
