There were so many. All the penguins! Seals, whales. A calm Drake Passage. Sailing in the zodiac in Paradise Bay.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Always felt safe. Drivers and crew were very expert . Probably most memorable was Paradise Bay.
Tell us about the expedition team
Very knowledgeable, friendly, and excellent zodiac drivers and guides. Really enjoyed the lectures with John, but they were all good.
Tell us about the Sylvia Earle
We were on the sister ship, Greg Mortimer. Very stable, modern, spacious. Great views from cabin.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Go! Bring all the recommended layers. It’s not as cold as you think in the summer, but can be windy and the zodiac trips are wet. Bring waterproof gear.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Definitely was a lifetime experience to see the untouched beauty of Antarctica and a reminder to do all we can to preserve it.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Changing staff was challenging re:Patagonia. It might be better to have one agent handling everything if turnover is high in the office. The Antartica portion was well handled by Kate.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Very! The videos and webinar on your website were very helpful.
