SeaventureWhat was your most memorable moment?
When I could be in one place and every direction I looked I stood in awe!
Which of the following best describes your adventure?
Great holiday
On a scale of 0 to 10, how likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend or colleague?
9 out of 10
Tell us about the wildlife
Exceeded my expectations. Would have loved to see a Blue Whale and an Emperor Penguin, but I understand the season wasn't right.
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Far and away exceeded my expectations. Increasable access to wildlife
Tell us about the expedition team
The best. I was amazed by their expertise and ability to explain it to a "non-science" guy like me. I liked being able to ask questions without feeling foolish. I particularly enjoyed Hannah's history, and pretty much anything Tracy explained.
Tell us about the Seaventure
I was thrill to be on a ship that could go through Ice the way it did, but other parts of the ship lacked. Many of the doors didn't seal tight (including our veranda door), there seemed to be a lot of temperature control issues. On the other hand, the staff was great!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
It would have been helpful to understand that the parka provided was more of a shell (a very nice shell at that).
Something Else?
Snow shoes would have been extremely helpful
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes, I am more interested in understanding mankind's part of climate change.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
The team was great. A little difficult with the time zones. Perhaps an agent somewhere in a US time zone would help.
