What was your most memorable moment?
It’s a tie: A leopard seal trying to mate with our boat, the polar plunge, and the wonderful friends I made (GO MICHAEL)

Tell us about the expedition team
The whole expedition team was awesome! My favorites were John and Daniel. I’m a marine biologist so we bonded over nerdy things. They were extremely knowledgeable and Dan’s lectures were incredible. That man could make any subject sound fascinating and new.
Tell us about the Greg Mortimer
Beautiful ship. The staff and crew were excellent and so friendly. My only complaint is the pillows. They were WAY to puffy and hard. My neck hurt half the time cause it was like sleeping with your head on a very tall brick.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Ski goggles are a must on the zodiac on snowy days. Leave yourself extra time to get into Chile with these crazy covid protocols. Maybe even try to get there 4 or 5 days early.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Well, now I kind of want to be a guide. I felt very in my element down there.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
MICHAEL IS THE GREATEST. He spent all day on the phone with us helping us with our MANY travel hiccups, helped to make special arrangements when things were working out, and was a genuinely awesome and kind person. I’m so glad that after all that work he put in with us we were able to meet him and thank him in person.
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
Maybe a little bit more walking through with the travel documents. They were quite confusing and I’m not sure i would have figured it out if I weren’t a tech-savy young person.
