What was your most memorable moment?
I really enjoyed the opportunity to see the various penguins in their natural habitat- I loved watching them waddle around, swim or just lay on the snow

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
I think these were some of my favorite aspects of the trip- the Zodiac operators (Oceanwide staff) made each trip incredibly interesting
Tell us about the expedition team
I loved the expedition team- overall, they were incredibly friendly and approachable. Personally, I felt like Pelin was very informative and helpful. She provided some great historical lectures and also was a great Zodiac pilot
Tell us about the Hondius
The Hondius was great. It made the Drake Passage very comfortable. The cabin was wonderful. The food was amazing every night. I would definitely choose this ship again. The Hondius staff were also great, including Andy at the front desk

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Just do it- no matter what your experience is, just go ahead and book the trip- you won't regret it.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I think it's important to remember that everything we do is connected to something, and we should really try to pay attention to how our actions affect other things (whether it be alive or inanimate)
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I think Swoop did a good job the last few months keeping me in the loop- last year, I felt like things kept changing and I didn't have a good grasp of who I should contact. I also felt like things were somewhat disorganized last year. I was much happier with the planning this year.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Honestly, I was more excited last year before the trip was postponed. During the interval year, many of the things I purchased were misplaced, so I think I was better prepared back then. That being said, the Swoop guides were pretty helpful making sure I packed appropriately.
Would you consider another trip to Antarctica with Swoop?
