Overall, how was your trip?

Highlight was the wildlife and the ship operator's staff! We learned so much and had so much fun. The only surprise was that we were delayed in Punta Arenas for 2 extra nights, as the weather on King George was not safe enough to fly out. This was disappointing, but we know there is nothing that could be done, and it's part of the adventure of getting there.

In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?

Yes! It was amazing!

Would you visit again?

Yes

How was the service that Swoop provided?

Yes! We definitely picked the right ship and itinerary. And once we got to our cabin, we understood why that number had been selected. Close to the middle of the ship for minimal rocking!

How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?

You chose a/an Antarctica & South Georgia Express experience. How was that experience?

I would definitely recommend including South Georgia/Falklands for those people that can afford the time and budget. We weren't quite prepared for the many days at sea to get between these places, but they ended up being a wonderfully restorative part of our holiday.

If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?

Swoop provided recommendations for hotels, and the one we selected, the Ilaia, was absolutely fantastic.

How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?

Expedition staff were fantastic. Extremely knowledgable and helpful. We loved the zodiac landings when we were free to roam about. It was a little more challenging on landings that were heavily covered in fur seals, and we needed to carry a pole for protection.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?

Go! It's the trip of a lifetime.

Anything else? Tell us anything you’d like to share that we forgot to ask! It’s ok to leave this empty too :-)

Thanks for all your help! We had an absolutely amazing honeymoon in Antarctica. One I'm sure we'll never forget.
