We had many special encounters with humpback and orca whales, lots of different birds, and many penguins.

Unfortunately this option was sold out and we did not get to participate.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
It is important to do your research especially regarding clothing, activities, and potential conditions (ie, Drake passage crossing and Antarctic weather). Also, the Argentinean airlines were difficult to deal with (constantly changing flight times that messed up connections, no ability to reach them to make changes)- so it is important to monitor the flights and be able to make changes sometimes before you can resolve the now useless ticket reservation.

Yes, it was an extraordinary experience that inspires many personal reflections regarding day to day living.
