Overall, how was your trip?
We were amazed by the beauty of its nature. The steep hill with their snow and glaciers. The icebergs were so huge and colorful. The gentoo penguins were the only breed we saw, but they were cute for a few days. We sat with different people at every meal and met some really interesting people. The ship was a good size for this trip. I would not want to go any larger since we would have not been able to make landings at some of the places we did. The ship's operator provided a very nice experience, with the only downside being that some of their lecturers were not well prepared.
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
The continent was amazing and met our expectations.
Would you visit again?
Maybe
How was the service that Swoop provided?
We were very pleased with Swoop. Since we were notified about the opening about 14 days before the trip some of the details got a little hectic, but we made it. The Plancius ship was great. Good cabins, good food and great staff.
How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?
9 out of 10
How would you describe {vessel.title} if talking to somebody potentially interested in going to Antarctica, and what tips would you pass on?
Outside of the Drake Passage which got a 6 out of 10 for roughness on the way home, it was a great trip.
You chose a/an {area.title} voyage. How was that experience?
Great!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Take the patches for sea sickness. The weather forecast and the captain will be able to tell you about rough seas far enough in advance to put them on.
