The Tiera Del Fuego half day trip was the only real letdown. I had expected a trek but a bus with 4 stops. A massive disappointment and at USD$100, a real rip-off. The boat tours around the lighthouse were half the price and worth it.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Arrive in Ushuaia earlier. Avoid New Year’s Eve & day and Sundays as everything is shut. Leave sufficient days for flight cancellations or delays.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I lost my beloved father a few months before the trip and almost cancelled my trip; the trip helped reset my life.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Hold the pre- briefing session at least a month in advance. 2 weeks prior is too late.
